FAQ: What is the difference between an oscilloscope with a current probe and the N6781A Source Measure Unit?

There N6781A source measure unit plugs into the N6705B and is a high resolution device with a seamless ranging feature that provides a 28-bit dynamic range. Most oscilloscope have an 8-bit resolution that cannot measure very small signals in the presence of large signals.
